The tofu got some flavor when mixed with the bonito flakes, and the texture was pretty good. The crispy rice had a nice textural contrast with the two types of rice but the uni was not very high quality. 6/10

The fish had an interesting meaty texture, but the execution was not great. The flavors were rather plain and the fish was rather dry. However, the vegetables on the side were quite nice and added more flavor. 6/10

The tonkatsu was decent, but not crispy enough due to being in the broth for too long. The broth itself was just mediocre. 4/10

This was so full of flavor and was amazing with the rice. The ingredients all absorbed the flavor of the broth while serving their own purpose, making it a nice and cohesive dish. Definitely the highlight of the meal. Very comforting and familiar. 9/10
Final review: Slightly disappointing for the hype around this place, but it had solid food. There was nothing that was that unique, but the food quality overall was good. It was just comforting food. 6/10
